| Since the Bible is an
unchanging book of true facts, and science theories are always changing, there will be times when the plain literal readings of Bible passages are contrary to theoretical science. Many Christians try to resolve these conflicts by stretching their interpretations of those verses to accomodate the latest scientific theory. For example, the "Gap Theory", the "Day - Age" view, "Theistic Evolution", and the "Creation Myth" understandings of the first chapter of Genesis have been fabricated relatively recently to accomodate the "millions of years" theories of scientists. My goal is to accept the plain reading of Bible passages as true and to disregard any conflicting theories of scientists. |
