When I was trying to express my anticipation of moving to my Seattle
area job and new home on a bluff overlooking the Puget Sound shipping
lanes and the Olympic Mountains in 1997, I told my Connecticut friends
and Michigan family members, "I feel like 'my ship has come in',
and it's an aircraft carrier in my back yard!"
And for Constance, it was an ocean liner cruise ship sailing between
her bedroom deck and Mount Constance!

I created this website primarily to communicate to friends and family
in Michigan and the East Coast about our new home and life on Whidbey.
